BOOKINGS – All bookings run from Sunday to Sunday.
Bookings are made on receipt of a deposit payment (which is non-returnable) of not less than 25% of the total cost. This can be done by telephoning 01786 849272. Bookings will be made on the basis of “first come, first served” but we do reserve the right to refuse or revoke any booking which in our sole opinion may be unsuitable without giving any reason and no correspondence will entered into. The balance is due one month prior to the booking.
OCCUPATION is from 4.00 p.m. and vacation not later than 10.00 a.m. on day of departure. If these times are not suitable or if you wish to discuss any of your arrangements please contact Managed Estates on 01786 849272.
DOGS – A MAXIMUM OF TWO DOGS ARE PERMITTED – £25.00 PER DOG PER WEEK. DOGS MUST BE KEPT IN THE KITCHEN AT ALL TIMES.
CLEANING – Lochs Lodge is cleaned before your arrival and it would be appreciated if you could leave it in similar condition. If extra cleaning is required, we reserve the right to make a further charge.
SMOKING – Is not permitted within Lochs Lodge.
BREAKAGES – We reserve the right to charge for any breakages or damage done to the property or any of the equipment. A returnable breakages deposit of £500 may be chargeable prior to arrival – depending on individual circumstances.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT – Please note there is no public transport in the area.
WATER SUPPLY – The water comes from a private supply and we therefore recommend that it should be boiled prior to drinking.
TELEPHONES – Wi-Fi is available within Lochs Lodge but please note there is no mobile phone signal in the Glen.
RENTALS (per week – Sunday to Sunday) – Jan to Mar £1,500 – Easter £2,500 – April to June £2,000 – July & August £2,500 – Sep & October £2,000 – November & December £1,500 – Christmas & New Year – £2,500
Includes normal consumption of electricity and VAT @ 20%. We reserve the right to alter the rental in the event of any change in the basic rate of VAT. We reserve the right to make an additional charge for electricity & heating oil if consumption has been excessive.
SITUATION OF LOCHS LODGE
Glen Lyon is described as one of Scotland’s longest and most beautiful glens. Lochs Lodge is located on Lochs Estate – some 14 miles into the glen. Surrounded by stunning countryside, the property enjoys an enviable elavated position with breathtaking views.
Killin (about 18 miles) and Aberfeldy (about 24 miles) both have a varied choice of shops, eating places, golf courses and other leisure facilities.
Approximately 4 miles from Lochs Lodge is the Post Office and General Store of Bridge of Balgie and from which most provisions can be obtained – (Telephone No. 01887-866221). There is also a tea room serving light snacks and home baking.
THINGS TO DO
The Estate can offer permits for trout fishing – both river and loch – available from the Post Office at Bridge of Balgie. Salmon fishing and deer stalking may also be available if booked in advance by telephoning 01786 849272. There are plenty of opportunities for hill walking in this beautiful scenic area and to generally observe nature in this unspoilt location.
